About walllet.com
People who earn across borders often manage their money through disconnected systems.
A client may pay through one route. The income may arrive in another currency. Software subscriptions, savings, local expenses and cash-out may each require a different account or platform.
walllet.com is building a more connected way for freelancers and remote workers to receive international income, hold value, spend online and move money into local financial systems where supported.
The product combines financial infrastructure with interfaces that must explain fees, timing, account status, eligibility and transaction outcomes without overwhelming the user. That makes product design central to how walllet.com works, not a finishing layer added after the main decisions have been made.
About the role
We are hiring a Senior Product Designer to lead complex product journeys from problem definition through release and iteration.
You will work on experiences such as onboarding, identity verification, international account details, incoming payments, balances, cards, conversion, transaction history, self-custody and account recovery.
This role requires more than strong screens. You must be able to understand the financial and technical system behind an interaction, identify where users may misunderstand it and design a path that remains clear during normal use, delays, failures and exceptions.
You will work closely with product managers, engineers, compliance, operations, support and marketing. You will influence both what gets built and how the team defines the problem.
What you’ll be doing
Leading product design across one or more core walllet.com journeys, from discovery to shipped experience
Turning financial, regulatory and technical constraints into understandable user flows
Mapping complete journeys, including loading, pending, failed, restricted, reversed and completed states
Running user interviews, usability studies and concept tests with relevant customer groups
Producing user flows, wireframes, prototypes, interaction specifications and production-ready interface designs
Working with product and engineering teams to define scope, trade-offs and release criteria
Improving the walllet.com design system and documenting reusable interaction patterns
Reviewing implementation quality and resolving gaps between design intent and shipped behaviour
Using behavioural data, customer feedback and support patterns to identify areas for improvement
Contributing to product language, labels, error messages and decision-support content
Presenting design decisions through evidence, constraints and expected user outcomes
Mentoring other designers and raising the quality of design critique across the team
What you’ll need
At least 5 years of product design experience, including ownership of complex digital products
A portfolio showing how you framed problems, evaluated options and measured outcomes, not only final screens
Experience designing multi-step workflows with meaningful user consequences
Strong interaction design, information architecture and prototyping skills
Advanced working knowledge of Figma, components, variables, libraries and responsive design
Experience working closely with engineers through implementation
Ability to explain complex systems in plain language
Strong written communication for a distributed team
Experience using research and product data to guide design decisions
Good judgement about when to simplify an experience and when to expose an important condition
Ability to manage several connected workstreams without losing attention to detail
Nice to have
Experience with fintech, banking, payments, cards, foreign exchange, remittances or digital wallets
Experience designing products for freelancers, remote workers or users in emerging markets
Familiarity with KYC, transaction monitoring, payment failures or account restrictions
Experience with self-custody, stablecoins, blockchain networks or wallet recovery
Experience contributing to or leading a design system
Basic knowledge of accessibility testing and WCAG requirements
Experience designing across web, iOS and Android
Experience coaching or reviewing the work of other product designers
What we offer
Meaningful ownership and direct influence on the product
A thoughtful, low-ego team that values clear communication
Flexible work with time for focused craft and collaboration
The chance to help build financial tools for a global customer base
