Introduction: Welcome to walllet.com ("walllet"), a smart contract-based non-custodial wallet service provided by PrimeUp LTD (UAE) ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). This Cookie Policy explains how walllet uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on our website and related Services.
This Policy is intended to be read together with our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service. Where prior consent is not required by law, by using our website you consent to the use of cookies as described in this Policy, unless you disable them through your browser or our cookie settings.
In regions where consent is required (e.g., EEA/UK), we do not set non-essential cookies or activate non-essential analytics, attribution or marketing tools (including Google Analytics 4, PostHog, Microsoft Clarity, AppsFlyer web attribution, Meta Pixel, X Pixel and AdRoll) until you provide consent via our cookie banner.
We want to be transparent about what data is collected via cookies and how you can control it.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device (computer, smartphone, etc.) when you visit them. They are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the site owners. Cookies can have various functions: remembering your preferences, enabling certain features, analyzing how you use the site, and personalizing content or ads. Some cookies last only for your session (until you close the browser), while others persist for a set period or until deleted.
In addition to cookies, we and our service providers may use similar technologies like web beacons (tiny graphic images embedded in webpages or emails) or local storage (browser-based storage) for similar purposes. In this Policy, we collectively refer to all these as "cookies" for simplicity.
Cookies can be categorized by their origin and purpose:
First-party cookies: Set by the website you're visiting (in this case, walllet.com).
Third-party cookies: Set by a domain other than the one you're visiting, usually when the website incorporates elements from other services (like analytics scripts or a support chat widget).
We use both first-party and third-party cookies on walllet.com.
2. Why We Use Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your user experience, to enable certain functionalities of the site, to understand and improve how our site is used, to measure how visitors reach our website and app (attribution), and to measure and support our marketing campaigns. Specifically, cookies help us to:
Ensure the website functions properly: Certain cookies are essential for core features. For example, an essential cookie remembers your cookie preferences, and essential cookies may be used for load balancing. They also help with security (e.g., preventing cross-site request forgery attacks by storing a token). Without these cookies, our site might not work as intended.
Enhance performance and analytics: Cookies allow us to collect information about how visitors interact with our site, such as which pages are visited most, how long users stay, and if they encounter errors. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), PostHog and Microsoft Clarity for this purpose. This data is aggregated or pseudonymized, and we cannot directly identify you from it, but it provides valuable insights to improve site content and performance. For example, we can use it to optimize navigation or fix frequently encountered issues. Analytics cookies also help us gauge the success of communications by seeing overall traffic patterns. In regions where consent is required (e.g., EEA/UK), these cookies are set only after you opt in via our cookie banner.
Remember preferences: We may use cookies to store preferences you set. For instance, if our site has a dark mode toggle, a cookie might save that you prefer dark mode so that it's enabled on your next visit. Similarly, cookies may remember language selection or that you closed a pop-up so it doesn't show again. These functionality cookies improve convenience and personalization.
Attribution and Marketing: We use AppsFlyer web attribution to measure which campaign or referral link brought you to our website or app and to help detect fraud. We also use marketing cookies from Meta (Meta Pixel), X (X Pixel) and AdRoll, together with the advertising networks AdRoll works with, to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns and to show walllet ads on other websites and platforms to people who have visited walllet.com. walllet does not show third-party ads on its own website. In regions where consent is required (e.g., EEA/UK), these cookies are set only after you opt in via our cookie banner.
Fraud detection and security: Cookies can help us identify irregular site behavior. For example, to detect if a series of requests might be coming from a malicious bot versus a human, or to throttle usage to protect from DDoS attacks. Some security features rely on cookies as identification tokens.
By using cookies for these purposes, we aim to make walllet's web experience safe, efficient, and user-friendly. We do not use cookies to collect sensitive personal information or to pass data to data brokers, and we do not sell your personal data. Apart from the marketing cookies described in this Policy, which are set only with your consent where required, we do not share data with third-party advertisers.
3. Types of Cookies We Use
For clarity, we have categorized the cookies we use on walllet.com into a few categories. This classification aligns with standard categories:
Strictly Necessary Cookies: These cookies are essential for the operation of our website. They enable core functionality such as security, network management (e.g., load balancing), and accessibility, and they remember your cookie preferences. These cookies cannot be turned off in our cookie settings. Characteristics: These cookies do not collect information for marketing purposes or remember where you've been on the internet, and they do not store personally identifiable information. They are usually set in response to your actions, such as setting your cookie preferences. Example: A cookie that stores the cookie choices you made in our cookie banner. Lifespan: Many necessary cookies are session cookies that expire when you close your browser. Some might persist for a short duration (e.g., a few days) to remember settings.
Performance/Analytics and Attribution Cookies: These cookies collect aggregated or pseudonymized information about how visitors use our site. They allow us to count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve website performance. They help us know which pages are popular or identify if any page is encountering errors. We use these cookies to improve user experience; for example, understanding that a certain feature is rarely used might indicate it's hard to find and needs redesign. Where AppsFlyer web attribution is used, attribution cookies also help us measure which campaign or referral link brought you to our site and help us detect fraud. Examples: Google Analytics 4 (_ga) cookie which provides a random ID to distinguish unique users (without identifying who they are); PostHog cookies for product analytics; Microsoft Clarity cookies (e.g., _clck, _clsk) to understand how visitors interact with our pages. Lifespan: Depending on the cookie, anywhere from the session to 6-24 months. Google Analytics cookies typically last 6 months to 1 year unless cleared. We have configured Google Analytics 4 with IP masking enabled, further protecting your identity. In regions where consent is required (e.g., EEA/UK), these cookies are set only after you opt in via our cookie banner. If you opt out, these cookies will not be set.
Functionality Cookies: These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalization on our site. They may be set by us or by third-party services we've integrated. Functionality cookies remember choices you make (like your language, region, or display preferences) and provide enhanced, more personal features. Example: remembering your language preference. Lifespan: They may persist longer than a session so that your preferences are remembered on subsequent visits, typically a few days to a year. If you disable these cookies, some of these preferences will not be saved. However, our core service should still function; you just might have to set preferences each time.
Marketing/Advertising Cookies: These cookies are set through our site by Meta, X and AdRoll (and the advertising networks AdRoll works with). They record that your browser visited walllet.com and which pages you viewed, so that we can measure our advertising campaigns and show you walllet ads on other websites and platforms. These providers may also use this information for their own purposes under their own privacy policies. Lifespan: typically from a few weeks up to 14 months. In regions where consent is required (e.g., EEA/UK), these cookies are set only after you opt in to the Marketing category in our cookie banner.
Third-Party Cookies: Some cookies on our site are placed by third parties on our behalf. For example, our Intercom support chat widget might set a cookie to keep track of your chat session. We ensure any third-party we allow is vetted and their cookies are covered by our consent management. Examples of third-party cookies on walllet.com may include:
Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga_*, _gid) – site performance and usage analytics with IP masking enabled; set only with your consent where required (e.g., EEA/UK).
PostHog (e.g., ph_*) – product analytics to understand feature usage and improve site performance; set only with your consent where required (e.g., EEA/UK).
AppsFlyer (e.g., af_*, where web attribution is used) – campaign/install attribution, anti-fraud, and performance measurement; set only with your consent where required (e.g., EEA/UK).
Microsoft Clarity (e.g., _clck, _clsk) – website usage analytics; set only with your consent where required (e.g., EEA/UK).
Meta Pixel (e.g., _fbp) – measurement of our advertising campaigns on Meta platforms and showing walllet ads to past visitors; set only with your consent where required (e.g., EEA/UK).
X Pixel (e.g., _twpid, _twsid) – measurement of our advertising campaigns on X and showing walllet ads to past visitors; set only with your consent where required (e.g., EEA/UK).
AdRoll (e.g., __adroll_fpc, __ar_v4) – retargeting and campaign measurement across the advertising networks AdRoll works with; set only with your consent where required (e.g., EEA/UK).
Intercom cookies (intercom-id-XXXXX, etc.) – to manage your support chat session and remember you between visits so you don't have to reintroduce yourself every time you open support chat.
We show a cookie banner when you first visit, with the options "Accept all" and "Customize". "Customize" lets you choose, by category, which non-essential cookies to allow. You can change your choices at any time via the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer of our website. In EEA/UK, we cap the lifespan of non-essential cookies to no more than 14 months.
4. Your Choices: Managing and Disabling Cookies
You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies, aside from those strictly necessary for the site to function. Here are ways you can manage cookies:
Cookie Consent Tool: On your first visit to walllet.com, you'll see a cookie banner explaining that we use cookies, with the options "Accept all" and "Customize". In regions where consent is required (e.g., EEA/UK), non-essential cookies (analytics, attribution, marketing, and functionality) are not set unless you opt in, either by clicking "Accept all" or by switching on the categories you allow under "Customize". If you leave the analytics, attribution and marketing categories switched off, we ensure no analytics, attribution or marketing cookies run. You can always change your mind by using the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer of our website. This will bring up our cookie settings where you can toggle categories on or off. Keep in mind, if you disable certain categories, your experience might be affected (e.g., we won't know what's going wrong on the site without analytics).
Browser Settings: Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings preferences. You can set your browser to block or delete cookies – either overall or from specific sites. For example, in Chrome you can go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies and other site data, and choose to block third-party cookies or specific sites. You can also clear existing cookies via your browser. Be aware that if you clear cookies, any preferences controlled by those cookies (including our cookie consent choice) will be reset. There are also options like "Do Not Track" (though, as explained in our Privacy Policy, our site does not respond to DNT signals).
Opt-Out Tools: For analytics, Google provides a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics tracking: the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Installing this will prevent Google Analytics from collecting data on any site that uses it (including ours). Similarly, for interest-based advertising cookies, industry groups provide opt-out pages, such as the NAI's opt-out page or Your Online Choices (EU). These let you see which participating companies have cookies on your browser and opt out of them en masse. Note: This typically works by placing an opt-out cookie, so if you clear all cookies, you'd need to do it again.
Please note that essential cookies cannot be disabled via our consent tool because they are necessary for the website to function. However, you can still disable them in your browser (in which case parts of our site might break). For example, if you blocked all cookies through the browser, your cookie choices and other preferences may not be saved.
If you disable or delete cookies, the site may not remember your preferences on future visits (including cookie settings, ironically). We recommend at least allowing the cookie that remembers your cookie choices, so that your preferences persist.
5. Cookies in the walllet Mobile App
This Cookie Policy primarily concerns our website usage. The walllet mobile app does not use "cookies" per se (cookies are a browser concept), but it may use analogous tracking technologies within the app (like device storage or identifiers). The walllet mobile app does not use third-party advertising SDKs. It may use analytics/attribution SDKs, such as Google Analytics for Firebase/GA4, PostHog (where used), and the AppsFlyer SDK, for product analytics, performance, and anti-fraud. On iOS, we request your permission where required (e.g., App Tracking Transparency for access to the device's advertising identifier, IDFA), and on Android we respect the device's "Opt out of Ads Personalization" setting. You can control these via your device settings (e.g., "Allow Apps to Request to Track" on iOS, or "Opt out of Ads Personalization" on Android). If you use in-app support chat, Intercom may process basic device information (such as app version and operating system) to support you. We do not use these technologies for advertising, and we do not sell your personal data. If you have questions about mobile tracking, see our Privacy Policy and feel free to contact us.
6. Updates to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The "Last Updated" date at the top will always indicate when the last changes were made. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically. For significant changes, we may provide additional notice (such as a website banner or updated cookie consent prompt).
By continuing to use our site after updates to the Cookie Policy, you signify your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to any update, you should adjust your cookie settings or refrain from using our site.
Our cookie banner includes a "Marketing" category for the marketing cookies described in this Policy. If we add new marketing or advertising tools, we will update this Policy and seek your consent where required.
